At the age of 18, Todd started his lifelong career in the funeral industry. He brings over 28 years of experience to the team. He has operated several funeral homes in Oregon and is currently licensed as a funeral director and embalmer. Todd resides in Springfield, Oregon with his wife Joy and three children Connor, Colton, and Chloe. Todd enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his dogs. He is a member of the Lions Club International, Moose International and the Elks.

Joy Slack Owner/Funeral Director

Joy is a licensed funeral director. She enjoys meeting with the family and assisting them in making arrangements, making personalized moving video tributes and personalized memorial folders. Joy enjoys playing golf, camping, canning, scrap booking, spending time with her husband Todd and three children Connor, Colton, and Chloe.

Henry Miller Funeral Director

Henry has worked for Major Family Funeral Home since 1991. He is currently a licensed funeral director and pre-arrangement councilor. He belongs to the Lion Club International, McKenzie Business Association, and is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3965. Henry enjoys camping with his RV, photography, and spending time with his wife and grandchildren.

John started in the funeral service profession in 1987.   He has been a funeral director in three states and has held positions in every aspect of funeral service.  John shares the same passion & commitment to quality care that has made Major Family Funeral Home a choice of families for generations.  
John graduated with honors from Mt. Hood Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science. He is a proud father and grandfather with family residing in Oregon, Washington and California. We are very blessed to have him on our team.

Connor Slack is a passionate Christian and musician who loves to serve the community and learn more about God and people. He enjoys exercising, long walks with his dog, playing instruments, spending time with friends and learning in college, currently at Bushnell University.

Colton Slack is attending Lane Community College. He enjoys working out, golfing, fishing and adventures in the Mountains and the Coast. He is also an Avid Duck and Raiders Fan.

Ezra Franklin Funeral Director/Embalmer Apprentice majorfamilyfh@msn.com

Ezra is a long time Springfield native, graduating from Springfield high school in 2018. Formerly a mechanic, he currently attends Lane community college, where he enjoys being a part of the Track and field team and is studying biology. He plans to continue his education at Mount Hood community college in the coming years.

Tom was raised and attended school in Eugene. After 25 years, he retired from Consumer Products Company, Procter & Gamble where he managed multiple business units at corporate head headquarters for both retail and wholesale distributors in the Pacific Northwest. Tom was inducted in to the exclusive P&G Chairman's Club for outstanding business results. After retirement, he moved to Arizona where he served as a consultant to a family owned private Consumer Products Company as well as working with a Taiwan based Technology Company. He returned to Eugene in 2005 and in 2006 he founded a family owned DNA testing Service Company. His company provides a complete menu of DNA tests for private individuals, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, medical clinics, social organizations and private investigators. He has presented DNA testing for paternity and other family relationship testing to members of the Oregon State Bar, and Family Law attorneys.

 

In 2020, Tom joined the staff at Major Family Funeral Home as a Family Service Advisor. His passion is serving families; assisting them at time of need as well as helping pre plan their funeral and cemetery arrangements. Tom is a member of Eugene Faith Center Church and a former member of the Eugene Chamber of Commerce. Tom is married with 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. In his off time, Tom has run multiple Eugene Butte-Butte 10k runs, a Eugene half-marathon, enjoys following the Oregon Ducks men and women's athletic teams, traveling to the Oregon coast, golf, and spending time with his family.
